Kilimo Tanzania Foundation Believes that people everywhere deserve to live their lives with the opportunity to choose a better future for a better generation.

Kilimo Tanzania Foundation works to eradicate extreme poverty among vulnerable rural farmer communities in Tanzania.

Kilimo Tanzania Foundation achieves this goal by transitioning vulnerable smallholder farmers from subsistence to professionalized farming as a business. Kilimo Tanzania Foundation builds enabling environments with support structures in place to de-risk the investment landscape, increase the quality and quantity of produce, and support emerging local leaders. Kilimo Tanzania Foundation ’s work is focused on the Tanzania. While Kilimo Tanzania Foundation staff technically work for separate and distinct locally-run organizations based in various countries, we all operate under a shared vision to cultivate lasting meaningful choices in the most vulnerable and marginalized communities in the world.

Building capacity:  We provide training and support to farmers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in a changing environment. This includes a focus on gender equality and youth empowerment, recognizing the vital role women and young people play in agriculture.
